The Waste and Recycling Industry has been at the forefront of this pandemic. We as an industry have had to work to become more efficient and safer while dealing with more and more tonnage going to the landfills. The landfill managers and their teams have had to evolve more in the last two years than the past ten, this led to new processes at the working face to become keep up with the safety needs while having to keep up with the needs of the market.
One example of our industry evolving is working to keep certain drivers on the working face and having the on the road drivers spend less time at the site. The process of “Drop and Go” where the hauler drops the full trailer in a yard and picks up an empty trailer and gets back on the road. This allows for only certain drivers to take the loaded trailer up to the tippers. This is only possible with a viable, safe, and efficient, off-road hydraulic fifth wheel hitch.
This project has allowed us to provide a stronger, safer, and more reliable option for the market, and we are looking forward to helping get them out into the field!
